Breitling’s ultimate all-purpose sports watch is ready for anything. The Chronomat holds a pivotal place in the brand’s modern history. Introduced for Breitling’s centennial in 1984, at a time when quartz movements dominated, it marked a bold return to mechanically driven watches. It was born from a collaboration with the beloved Italian aerobatic squadron, the Frecce Tricolori. When the team asked for an analog timepiece that could withstand the intensity of a jet cockpit and still look stylish enough to be worn to formal events—Breitling developed the “Chronograph Frecce Tricolori.” It was the blueprint for the Chronomat to follow one year later. The Chronomat B31 40 is powered by Breitling’s COSC-certified manufacture caliber B31, unveiled in 2025. With a weekend-surviving 78-hour power reserve and slim dimensions, it’s a time and date timepiece for every occasion. Available in a range of colorful dials, the Chronomat has a fully-integrated signature Rouleaux bracelet with on-the-fly adjustable links on both sides of the clasp. The case is water resistant to 200 m, making it ready for every environment.
